Children's Services Help Line
PSCWA hosts a Helpline for children's services and their staff. The Helpline creates a central point for all services and their employees to call, streamlining the response to childcare related queries. The Helpline assists with accessing training, professional development requests and quality assurance.
The PSCWA Helpline provides a direct response, where possible, or refers requests to a Professional Support Service Provider (PSSP) or Inclusion Support Agencies (ISA).
Services requiring inclusion or bicultural support, should initially access this assistance through the PSCWA Helpline. Such requests will be referred to the relevant inclusion support agency which will help the service identify the most appropriate support for their needs.
Publications
The PSCWA intends publishing a quarterly newsletter for childcare services in Western Australia.
The newsletter, "Childcare Times" will provide information on professional development opportunities; Quality Assurance trends; childcare news and events; and success stories from services around Western Australia.
We encourage you to email us an outline of any items that you would like to see included.
The Australian Government, through the Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA), funds the Professional Support Coordinator initiative as part of the Inclusion and Professional Support Program.
