Survival Skills Professional Development
PSCWA have planned Survival Skills Workshop in 2010 in Rural and Remote locations.
This Professional Development opportunity has recently been attended by Early Childhood professionals working in various services throughout Western Australia enabling and assisting them by increasing their self confidence, knowledge, leadership skills and the many day to day challenges that Centre Managers and Co-ordinators experience. This Professional Development opportunity will also provide you with the ability to effectively network with your peers and share your experiences.
The Survival Skills learning program addresses the following:
- Understanding leadership and making influence work
- Moving beyond numbers to ensure sound financial management
- Strategic planning and beyond, moving beyond wishful thinking
- Creating partnerships which work with parents, staff and the community
- Managing to manage time and stress
- Stopping yourself from sinking into the paper trail
- Coaching and positive psychology to enhance staff
- Having those difficult discussions with staff managing to manage staff
- Dealing with conflict in the workplace
- Making policies work for you rather than you working for polices
